Sex Positive URL Shortening Service
Posted on August 20th, 2009 • Filed under Uncategorized • No Comments
That’s right. Sex Positive. Positive in the sense that you are not going to be censored for linking to something – which we’ll assume to be responsible content – just because it implies or refers to sex.
Violet Blue, yes, you know who I’m talking about, has launched vb.ly so you can safely shorten your NSFW urls. There’s also an API for anyone who want’s to tinker with the service or integrate it into their website or application. There’s also rumor of a WordPress plugin, but I haven’t found it yet. If you come across the plugin, let me know. Now, go out there and link to things like there was no tomorrow.
Flickr browsing

Flickr made an announcement yesterday on a redesign of their search results.
Today we’re pleased to announce a redesign of our search results page. The changes we’ve introduced make it easier to browse through the billions of photos and videos on Flickr, and to connect to the communities that help make sense of all those photos.
If you are just browsing for fun – yeah you, don’t tell me you don’t engage in Flickr surfing from time to time – you might like to play with one these fun Flickr interfaces that tap into the official Flickr API.

Lazy Ass Blogging

That’s right…lazy. But I don’t think of lazy as a bad thing – it’s a good thing when it’s in the context of working smarter. So with that excuse in mind, I’ve installed Zemanta. I haven’t grasped all of it’s super hero powers yet. In fact this post is a trial run for Zemanta to see what it will do for me.

So far I love the ability to suggest images based on what I am writing, while I am writing. Next, I may see what it does when I plug something on Amazon.com.
