Nothing on the web is as satisfying as finding a site that is so simple, pleasing and single purpose, that it needs no improvement. I give you BikePal. Nice! Done. Now let’s go for a ride.

What do you think? Will bike sharing catch on in the states? I know a few programs have come and gone over the years, but maybe the use of credits cards for checking out/in will force users to be responsible for the bikes and not abandon or abuse them.
A new company called B-Cycle is trying to launch Vélib’-style bike sharing systems in cities across America. B-Cycle would provide bikes for hire at automated stations around town. You slide a credit card, ride around, and return the bike at any other B-Cycle station.
